Well after spending $47 at Harley for the steering damper brackets and $52 for the damper on Ebay...its a good one original cost $250....and getting a heim fitting... drilling out a hole in damper so fitting will fit ... IT DOESNT WORK ON A 2003 ROAD KING....The head light nascel has side legs down to the cow bells....so when you attach the fork leg bracket....long chrome one......it is too far forward and the piston rod hits the nascel....so here I am SOL with the Harley style steering damper  Oh well the best laid planes huh!...so now we know it wont fit on a Road King

Tony, Man that sucks! I never tried one on an RK, but now we all know. Thanks for the info! If you want to get rid of the two HD brackets, let me know.

I got the one on ebay, Put it on my 02 Classic with a Lehman kit it hit my finder, I Drilled a hole in the tree an tapped it. Got rid of the front bracket, Works great. I Don't think it is still hitting my finder because of the DENTS before I got rid of the front bracket. But it is higher up.
