Trents New Trailer

Thnx! And I started this thread,, So hijack if ya want!!..We have moved from trailers to what to pull trailers with now. And yeah,, I do like Cummings motors... Except for the diesel part. Diesel is still over a dollar more than gas here....

Oh Oh M3.. Look what was on the front page of Yahoo this afternoon. Interesting article. Hee Hee... ;) Sorry,, Could not resist. !!

It is interesting, I did know they don't build a whole lot of the Tundra's. Toyota does need to work on their fuel mileage, there is a rumor out they are going to put the new V8 Cummings diesel in the Tundra. I've been pretty happy with them, they hold their resale value.

I'm Cummings admirer, the 1 ton Ram with the Cummings is one heck of a work horse.

Hard to beat a Cummins diesel alright... And I really don't care what it costs if that is what I want and need. I had an Excursion with the 7.3 diesel and was very happy with that motor. 250k trouble free miles. Just a couple of oil leaks that had to be tightened here and there. I had a 4 inch lift and huge tires on it... had to take the roof rack off to fit it in my garage and if the tank was below half full, it would still just barely scrape the top of the door.. I towed around a trailer with a couple of tons of sound and music gear from the Rock N Roll days.. Did a great job with that.
That 40 gallon fuel tank would cost me 200 bucks to fill back when diesel was hittin 5 bucks a gallon. Whew!!.
If they put a Cummins in a Tundra, they will sell a bunch of those I bet.

Not sure on the Tundra, but the Nissan Titan will get the V8 Cummins only because Dodge turned it down for their half ton truck...Dodge ECO-Diesel is a Fiat I do believe ... it has been in the Cherokee for over a year and real world mileage is 26...No matter what, there will never be another Cummins 12 valve or a Ford 7.3...on a side note my cousin who is a builder all over the southeast has a 99' 7.3 with over 700k and has never been inside it but has replaced everything around it...

I knew Nissan was getting the Cummings V8, just heard sh!t house rumors about Toyota sticking it in the Tundra.

Working the test track at Ford's for 8 years showed me that Chrysler had the best Diesel engine and Trans. matchup you could buy for along time. The Ford 7.3 was a excellent motor. but didn't have the best transmission. We couldn't compare with Chrysler's Allison transmission. also, the Cummins motor started better in cold weather than the 7.3 did.
