Trailer effect

Maybe 10% but likely less. Unless your trailer exceeds the GVW rated for the trailer and your in the mountains going uphill both ways. All kidding aside I usually get approx 35 MPG without and run closer to 31-32 with.
 
I would imagine a trailers effect on fuel mileage would be much like what happens to me when I fly 2 big flags. Normally I get 42 to 44 mpg. When flags are flying that drops to 32 to 35 mpg and is dependent on speed and wind. The flags and a trailer both add resistance. An empty trailer though will be better than a fully loaded trailer. And your speed will be a factor too.
