Too Funny

I got pulled over this morning while out on a mind clearing ride by the police in a local small town. They pulled me over because they had no idea what I was riding and were convinced it could not be legal. After looking at my registration they were ready to impound my trike because the reg. says motorcycle and not trike. An hour later, 2 more cruisers and a call to the DMV they let me go with the warning "We'll be watching you...". I think I made it worse because I thought the whole thing was a to freakin funny.

Great story! it cracked me up . Funny, but a few years ago (I'm dating myself here....) any trike out there was a VW style! Obviously all your local LEOs are a lot younger than some of us......

I would complain to the department head. Anything over 20 minutes is considered by the courts as unlawful detaining. An hour is considered an arrest, and so you were falsely arrested then let go. I'd be given some time off by the Sheriff if that had happened here.
