Exhaust Too Low what would you do

so here is my issue. new to us Goldwing trike with Lehman trike. The trike body sits very low to the ground. we will be trailering it and our sidecar sometimes and what I have found is the pipes are below the body and when pulling on or taking off trailer they drag, when backing off they will dig trenches and plug themselves up. I cut them back so they are flush with back of trike body but the body is just barely off the ground itself when on the ramps.

So I would like a couple ideas and maybe some pictures of what you might do in a similar situation

I was considering cutting holes in the body just a hair higher than the bottom lip and raising the pipes to go through and sit just past flush and change them to straight tips

1st thing is I wouldn't cut holes in the body.

2nd can't you just turn the tips to the side ?

If you want to cut something cut the tips off so it goes straight back instead of down.

" OR " you can buy the lift kit from DK and be done with it.

ITS very Very easy to install.

I did mine in just under an hour.

The second bike I did took 30 mins.

Like I said its an easy fix. Rick

Yep, lift kits are the way to go.

Board ramps to lay at the back of the trailer on the ground for the back tires to run on when backing off of the trailer. It will keep the back end higher coming off the trailer and/or loading it on.

I lay a 2 by 4 horizontally under the ramp/gate when i trailer my Tri-Glide...

OK I have turned the tips to the side, but when backing off the trailer,,, with 2X6 at end of ramps the bottom edge of the body just touches the ground so you can imagine where the pipes are right then . I never thought about a lift kit, hmm I like that idea as I really really don't want to cut the body for any reason

I will look into that idea. I have it down now getting ready to pull the carbs and replace throttle cables so now is the time to do something with it
