I have decided to lower my rear tire psi to try for a little softer ride. I have changed from 34 to 24, what are some of you running and why? Thanks

Per Roadsmith's suggestion I run 28 psi for local, 30 for light travel, and 32 for fully loaded, two-up, and pulling trailer.

Have you also played with shock preload setting ?

Yes, It rides great but I thought I had read where people were running lower air psi and had a lot softer ride but sounds like I need to pump them back up.

On Pearl II 08 Wing/13 Roadsmith I run 41# Front & 22 Rear. Been that way for 3 years so far. Purdy much yo choice. Ride safe

On both our Lehman Monarch II and MotorTrike Adventure we run 24 in rear and 38 in front.

We both ride solo and are not all that heavy. We find 41 to be a bit bouncy on the front for our taste.

One reason I keep my pressure 28 psi or a little higher is because we are heavy and nearly always ride two up. Additionally, we live and ride in the Arkansas twisties and I don't want the sidewalls rolling under. It corners better with a little stiffer tire. YMMV :D

38 front, 30 rear on my RoadSmith, mounting a Cobra trike tire come Monday, see how that works out. Will be using RideOn in the new front to keep it balanced and insurance against flats.

I dampened my drive way. Pumped up the rears to 35. Kept running back & forth through the damp drive. letting air out until I got a full, flat tire pattern.
Results for my Hannigan, remembering the rear end is off center to the right:
Left rear 24psi, Right rear 26psi.
Front tire has been run @ 36psi for a much smoother front than the 41psi, I ran in the previous BT45!!!!!

Thanks Dawg for the research, that is exactly where my two back tires are now, may lower the front down as well.

I tend to keep things on the low side with my MT kit.
22=24 rear front no more then 38psi cold.
Upper range on the front gives my bike too hard a ride.
Not looking for longevity as every front tire on any bike Ive ever had cupped within 4000 miles. Or went south on the left side around 7500. So I flip the front every year.
Cant ride a bike here with 41psi in the front.
Just the good Florida roads here more then anything.
My front MPA has been cupped for so long I don't even notice it anymore.:p

I ride a 2007 Goldwing with a Champion stiff axle kit. I run 39 psi in the front. Since I put new rear tires on about 5k miles back I experimented and run 22.5 on the right and 20 on the left when riding alone. When riding double and pulling my trailer I run 24.5 on the right side and 22 on the left. I tweak the right side pressure it doesn't track straight. I've found running two lane country roads have more of a crown in the middle than multi-lane freeways so I tweak accordingly. I have a battery operated compressor in the trunk.

Currently running my Motor Trike with 41 in the front and 24 in the rears. And 25 pounds in the airbags for two up. Still working on air pressure in airbags for one up.

GL1500 with Lehman GTL SA trike kit, 40-41 psi in new front Avon Cobra Trike Radial (love it BTW!) ....
.... and in the 215/70R15 rear tires on 7" wide wheels .... 22-23 psi for simple local low speed two up and up to 25 psi when loaded or towing two up.

HaHa, I make it easy on myself to remember THE "measurements" er psi #'s..... I use the old #'s of 36-24-36! 36 in front, 24 in rear, and 36 in shocks when both of us are on!!!!!!ThumbUp

Thanks gold, I shoulda figured that out, makes no sense in the front. Just got my Cobra mounted, so anxious to get some miles on it, feels pretty good for the 20 or so miles I rode it home. One thing puzzles me, Dennis Kirk charges me $5 which I suppose is a disposal fee, then I pay it again to the guy who actually has to do the disposal. Guess I could ask Dennis Kirk, but what the ho, for $5 why should I trouble myself.
