I stopped suddenly at my mail box about 3 months ago and all of a sudden the engine would run but wouldn't stay in gear. Had to totally discontect the battery before the bike would reset and start again. It's happened 2 more times. There is a slight 2 inch drop off, but I didn't know that would activate that switch. Is that normal, especially on a Trike? I'm told it was because of a tip over sensor that takes it out of gear and won't let it engage in gear. Never had that happen on any of the 10 Wings and three of them have been triked.

Sorry Im not a wing person but see it you can locate the switch and see if it has moved in its mount or something causing it to be activated quicker. Maybe it is not level any longer. Just a thought.

Papa where do I find the tip over switch or Bank Angle switch as I see it is called? Is it easily accessable?

I just did a quick search. The bank angle sensor shows up in the online parts in the headlight section. It is mounted to the right hand side of the headlight housing on the backside. As I have limited experience with the newer GL1800's, I'm not sure how far you need to tear into it to find it. At least this is a start.

And just a little rant, it drives me nuts with the way that Honda lists all the various parts in their online diagrams and parts listing. None of it is very straightforward. You sometimes have to get a bit creative in your searches to find what you need.
