Robert welcome aboard. R & R trikes and Bikes there in Jasper sells Motor Trike. A Great conversion. If you do not know Ronnie he is good people. PM Judge Judy on this forum. She has a 1300 with a MT conversion and her partner has an 1800 with a Champion conversion. I've worked on both their trikes and they seem to like them both about equal. They look great. I love my Champion conversion on my Harley.

welcome to the trike world. Since you are shopping around I would strongly suggest that you do a LOT of shopping, price and installer comparisons before you jump into one. I researched for two years before I jumped in feet first.

Take a look at Meredog's trike (http://www.triketalk.com/forum/members/meredog-2608/) for a beautiful example of an 1800 Champion Trike.

I ride a 1300, but I bought an 1800 project bike that I'm planning to trike with the Champion kit. I looked strongly at Roadsmith, but the Champion trunk was larger and the kit was $700 cheaper.

I'm planning to install it myself, but I am planning on buying it from these people (Dealer Locator). I can't vouch for the dealer one way or the other.

I know what Independent Suspension Vs Solid axe does to a car are they much difference on a trike?

I've had both. My personal opinion is that there is minimal difference in ride for the driver, but if you carry a passenger a lot the passenger may prefer IRS. In my experience (solo rider) it is pretty much a toss up -- IRS has a very slight edge in smooth ride, solid axle has a very slight edge in handling in the twisties.

I've been equally happy with both my trikes -- Fat Boy/Champion and now a V-rod/Hannigan.

I have the VTX 1800C with Motortrike conversion... would have liked to of had a good look at the Newer Roadsmith conversion...it looks like a better option, to me.
