My Fiancee rides a 15 Freewheeler and always complained of left thigh burning heat. So I heat wrapped left side header pipe and that helped somewhat, but then I ordered a leather heat shield from Amazon put it on and all heat is gone both sides. if anyone else is having similar heat problems it was under $29.00 from Amazon.:) She's Happy Now

I like the looks of the leather ones, tho I have seen some real ugly ones that curl and crack from the heat, almost as bad as some of the ABS plastic ones on the market

At $28.00 who cares if you have to replace them every year beats hell out of burned thighs. I bought extra one just in case they do dry up and crack:Dorag:

I agree

I took mine off the other day

On the M8 I dropped my ET by 25 degrees with them off

The Thigh heat to me did not go upIMO

I also raised the rear of my gas tank a bit this along with the Mighty Mites has proven to drop the heat

On my 15 I did not keep track of the heat That TC needed Alot more help in stop and go traffic tho
