Making up the menu for Christmas dinner for the last couple of days. I am responsible for homemade mac and cheese, lasagna and cake. I had won a turkey at Thanksgiving and saved it for Christmas. There will be sweet potato casserole, stuffing, dinner rolls, gravy and mashed potatoes.

Sounds Great, don't forget to post some Pics. ThumbUp

So, speaking about food and chestnuts on an open fire, has anyone heard from consitter today?

Starting to worry. He hasn't posted in two days.

Hope he's doing ok.
Thanks for the concern folks...feels good to be missed! Doing well, and taking it easy. Feels like I'm playing hooky, because I feel soooo well!!

Spent last night watching a movie with the wife. Drank a 6 pack of beer in the same night for the first time in over a year. Got up early this morning and took the wife's car for an oil change.

Right now, the kids and I are watching Calliou on Sprout. :gah:

Good to hear from you ! Glad it is going so well.
My wife had her gall bladder removed the OLD way many years ago. Was in the hospital for a week . Looked like death warmed over.

A 6 pack and a movie at home. You're a cheap date. :clapping:

Nice pies.
It was two days of cooking and sitting up till 4:00 am to get it done.
The turkey and ham were done on Christmas day. The dinner was for 5 people and 4 attended. I'm still cleaning up pots and pans today along with a trashed kitchen.

We tried to be smarter than the dinner...

We cleaned as we went along. :D

</div>I have very lazy roommates, they do more to make or leave a mess than to help clean it up. I spent my morning cleaning up the remnants of the Christmas dinner and the trashed kitchen and the kitchen is finally picked up, last thing to clean is the turkey roaster.<br />

</div>The turkey was underfed and didn't have much meat on its bones, no one touched the ham and so it will be used for sandwiches. There's a lot left over that my roommates will polish off and it should all be gone in about 2 weeks.

Ham and eggs, ham salad, mac and cheese w/ham, ham and cabbage, ham and waffles, ham and jumbilia, ham and pineapple pizza, ham and bean soup, lentil soup w/ ham, pea soup w/ham what else ? All my favorites. :clapping:
