Does anyone no if a adjustable steeering stabilizer is avail for TGs?
Mine {2009}has the silver Olin non adjustable ....I believe the newer ones have a black No brand shown non adjustable on them..
I have used stabilizers on Buells before and they had 10 click adjustments, but cant seem to find one for TGs...Would be nice to stiffen it up for low speed in town wobbles.

My 10 had a silver Olin, I haven't read in any of the tech bulletins where they made any changes except early on when they discovered the one they was using on the 09's was failing.

Mine works fine so far Mike...I noticed on a 2012 I demoed that it had a black one on it...Thought maybe the MOCO wen to a diff supplier as Im sure the Ohlin is $$$$$...
Too bad they arent adjustable..

The silver one on my 2012 looks identical to the one on my 2010.

Hmm..Maybe this demo bike had something diff on it..As I recall the bracket on the left side of the forks was all rusty , not chrome, and the shock had no name{Ohlin} on it...
I did ask about the bike, and the rep told me it was one that wouldnt be for sale after the demos...it was blue with all black fenders...Maybe a test bike, or a demo crash victim..Who knows for sure...Hb

Hmmm..maybe if one is ordered as a replacement part maybe comes black??
Wonder what the 2013s have?
Ohlin is a worldwide known supplier of shocks for dirt, race bikes etc, so Im pressuming it is of good enough quality as well as I no they offer to rebuild there stuff..
Who knows what the MOCO does at times with suppliers tho..I just wish they woulda made em adjustable from the get go...or, just wait and see, they will offer a nice shiny chrome one in the accs bible after they view this thread,,,{Willy Shiney}...LOL..
:AGGHH:

Mine went bad just after warrenty went out. The replacement is silver. they charged over 500 dollars for the new one.

I checked and Mine has not been replaced ever and is a silver Ohlin...Im wondering where the odd black one fits into HDs program...$500.00 , YES, OUCH Big Time...
Somebody could jump in and make repos and make some $$$...

I bought my '11 TG with 5000 miles and it's black, so it may have been painted in an attempt to hide it or match paint!?? It had a bunch of Safety Chrome added before I got lucky & bought it, I'll have to take a closer look.

I took a close look at it today and could see that it had been spray painted black, I soaked a rag in brakeclean and the paint came right off. After getting all the paint off I could see a scratch along the side of the stab., I'm guessing it was hit by a tool or a part when some of the Safety Chrome was being installed. I found a close match for the silver and it looks good now.
