Here is a picture of where the broken clamp was mounted which held the coolant line pipe from the front of the bike to the rear.

It is amazing that only one clamp, that I have found, secures this is entire pipe.

I will need to find a replacement today. Pardon the paint... the bike was just repainted.

No clue what the wire was for. Perhaps it was a safeguard in case the clamp broke.

That wire is the ground for your fan temp switch. You will see that switch in that pipe just up the line from that wire. That switch turns the fan on when the coolant gets to hot.
