2013 stallion what year ford transmission was used

My husband took our Stallion apart a couple years ago because of a no start issue.

Now trying to put it back together, he can’t find the bolts and nuts to attach the neutral safety switch to the transmission. Does anyone happen to know the size of the bolts and nuts or where we could find them?

Thanks, Susan

Susan I can’t help you on the bolts… But I can welcome you to Trike-Talk…👍👍..

2013 Stallion starting issues

We found the bolts and nut and got the neutral safety switch connected again.

the fuses are all good.

just get a clicking sound when trying to start.

we have a battery charger connected to battery and it says it’s at 100%.

I seem to remember someone posting about either two wires or cables going from the steering wheel to the neutral safety switch.

that may have been on a ford forum because I was looking there as well.

it seems like people had the same problem on the rangers.

does anyone know what engine and transmission were used in the 2013 Stallion.

Susan, all stallions had the 2007 ford ranger 2.3 motor and the 4 wheel drive transmission with the transfer case removed, with a custom tail housing replacing it. if the starter solenoid is clicking the starter itself might need to be considered.

Whenever I hear a clicking sound when turning on the key/trying to start the engine no matter what the Charger says it’s a bad battery/ dead cell in the battery….

Always check the battery for a full charge, 12.5-12.7 volts

If you have easy access to the starter, hook a volt meter to the positive ( main ) terminal , and ground the other lead

Have someone watch the volt meter while you try to start

Does the volt meter change?

If not there is probably a starter solenoid relay in the wiring, you can jump at the relay to try the starter also

it may look similar to this

Just to add ‘Take a set of jumper cables and jump start the battery from a car and see if it starts….?

air wings for 08' stallion

Hello

I am Thor 27.

i have a 08' stallion.

i was hoping that some one knows where to get air wings for it.

and is any one making wind shields?
Good day. I know that this was a couple of years ago but I have found an outlet for windshields...They are $2,200.00....OUCH! They can be had though. If you or anyone else would like the contact I will be glad to post it. The guy said they had clear or tinted. Happy riding.

I accidentally posted my question in the wrong forum.

My husband took my Air filter off today because it's dirty and damaged. I've done some research on it...finally found the correct part # and everywhere I've looked so far, that part is either Discontinued or Out of Stock. I have a 2008 Throughbred Stallion.

Also, has anyone had any issues while being in Cruise Control and you tap the brake to slow down and it actually revs up/speeds up instead of slowing down?? Mine did that a couple of weeks ago and that scared the crap out of me, as I was following my hubby. I had to actually turn off the cruise control instead.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Good day to you. That air filter is like most K&N filters that you can acquire at most parts stores. They usually come with an adapter in the box that enables you to use it on other applications. I have a 2008 also and just clean mine and oil it according to the directions through K&N. Yours looks like it could definately be replaced. I have never ever, fortunately, had any problem with my cruise control or really anything for that matter. I must have got one that was built on a Wednesday or something because "knock on wood" mine has been flawless. I have 18,000 miles on this one now. Happy riding...Buddy#11, #330.

I had problems with my cruise control. The servo got gunked up and finally gave up. I tried to clean it, but it didn't work. Got one off ebay, but it was worse. I went to a local junk yard and took it apart before I purchased it to make sure the inside was clean. It was. I also had a problem with the steering wheel switches and replaced them also. Everything works great now.
