stallion mpg

My 2009 has NEVER gotten the 'advertised' mpg. But I will say that riding in the mountains I get my best, between 35-40 mpg. On the interstate at 70-75 mph about 30-35 mpg. But, I didn't buy the Stallion for the fuel economy :)

9/18/10. Wow, I am loving this forum.
Wife and I just rode back form GA (we are in VA now). That's just over 600 mikes. I was actually impressed by the gas mileage. We cruised between 60 and 75 most of the time and the mileage stayed above 40MPG.

Course, now I'm told I have the tire presuure to high. 40 in front and 32 in rear. The ride is a bit abrupt on the passenger with 30 psi on the gage! :In town I can't seem to run steady...got to be in front, so it's low to mid 30s.

Tom, drop the rear pressure to about 20 - 22 psi. Your wife will love you for it .

Hello trikerlest. You have one of the earliest Stallions owned by a private party. Yours was orginally delivered to a dealer as a Demo, but they must of sold it. How did you get to all the plugs to change them? Two of them looked buried to me. We have had ours for 3 years and get about the same MPG as you due. I agree the 4.11 is probably the reason, but we are happy with it.
