I am thinking of upgrading the exhaust on my 2015 Freewheeler with some Vance & Hines Twin Slash from JP cycles, a DK Custom complete hi flow 606 air cleaner with stock cover and a FL- Vied 10 fuel enrichment. If I install them myself I will have about $675 into and I hope an inprovement in sound, temp and power. Would like some opinions.:pepper::mad:

2014 - I self de-catted my stock head pipes and added the FL-Vied-10s to my 2014. I kept the stock mufflers.

Sounds louder, way less right side heat, runs better ..... same gas mileage. :pepper:

www.wildpigpipes for de-catted stock head pipes is a great cheap option.

Bob :D

I have a similar set-up. Same mufflers you are considering but I went with a K&N filter in the stock air cleaner that I opened up a little for more air and a V&H FP3 because of it's tune ability feature. This gave me lots more mid-range power and a great sound. Tip: if the Twin Slash rounds are too loud for you, remove the baffles and wrap them with fiberglass made for 4-stroke motorcycle mufflers. This will mellow out the sound and make it deeper. Forget the V&H "Quiet" inserts for these mufflers. They take away the rumble and leave a higher pitched sound. By the way, these mufflers look great on a trike and don't hit the ground like the stockers do. Good luck.
