Found a small crack in a mount point hole sidecar frame. Took sidecar off ground it out and welded it. Then the rabbit hole starts.

Long as it is off may as well touch frame paint. While I am at take brake caliper off clean it up. Order new bushing for shock mounts.

Pick up all new bolts for mounting they have been on and off a few times.

92 year old MIL that lives with us had been going strong. Then she started going down hill. 2 weeks in Hospital. 100 miles round trip everyday. Staying with her everyday. Brought her home 2 days latter back in Hospital. 7 more days doctors say nothing more can be done.

Had no choice but Hospice care near home. May 27th she pasted after 7 days.

The work on sidecar took a distant back seat.

Frame is now painted ,caliper all cleaned up. Paint needs to cure another 24 hours. Plan as of now is put sidecar back on may 7-8th and be ready for TN ride.

Back on track. I am going to miss MIL she was an amazing person. Tomorrow we lay her to rest.

Logged about 900 miles with sidecar off. That was fun. But leaving in 4 days so time to get with it. My rabbit hole of fixing a crack has turned into a wood chuck tunnel. All good minor stuff that needed doing. Make a new cover for wiring in trunk. Coated in side of trunk with rubberized truck bed liner.
