The small magnet fell out of my Outlaw reusable oil filter....

.....Ok, I really like this Outlaw reusable oil filter, but the magnet fell out on the 4-5th use as the glue holding it in place just released and it fell out.....

So, here's the question = do I just discard the small magnet and reuse oil filter, or re-glue it back in the filter hole location with some JB Weld or something ......What'ch Ya'll Think?

...I'm sure this happens a lot maybe?

I would jb weld it. A new one might last longer or not as long. I'm a big fan of the original (not quick set) JB Weld. I've used it for a lot of things and it hasn't failed me yet for what I used it for.

Get a bigger magnet and it will float around as it can’t get stuck into anything. Glue of any kind and oil is a :nonono:.

Well, I'm concerned that the magnet appeared to be glued in with the same glue as the screen filter.....so If the magnet glue gave way, it makes me wonder about the screen eventually becoming loose too (maybe).......and I though I really like JB Weld for many things = my concern is that "IF" it ever came loose = I would have a hardened piece of THAT floating in the oil!!!!......That would not be good, me thinks!

...So, I guess it just gets replaced with the ole' HD filter and "I'll chock it up as a loss on the Outlaw reusable filter."
