I just bought my new Aniv about a month ago. First thing I did was to get rid ofthe heat problem after melting my boots. Did that with some Rush headers, Rienhart slip on's, ThunderMax tuner, and a JetScream air filter. That was the best thing I ever done! Got rid of a lot of heat and increased HP, IMO, 15-20. It's a different machine with a usable 6th gear. I am however, be perfectly honest, am a little disappointed in the suspension. When going 55-60, and hit some rough asphalt patches, it has the feeling of a wobbling front end. I don't like that! It also has done that to me when I have hit RR tracks at an angle. Same thing! Still don't like that. Maybe I am expecting to much, but I don't like the uncomfortable feeling while going that fast. I read about these guys going 85-100 on the interstate, or while passing cars, what happens when they hit something like that at high speed? Do you still get that wobble feeling, or is it my trike?
Confused about suspension..
You'll get used to the handling idiosyncrasies, I grew used to what I call head shake. I'm a pretty aggressive rider who doesn't take long to feel out the outer limits of a bike or trike. I'm also one who has been tooling along on the interstate at 85 mph with my feet on the highway pegs, the tunes cranking and one hand on the bars and the other just resting. I've also been 90+ mph pulling a trailer while passing a car on a bit of a bumpy 2 lane, with no uncomfortable feeling. At speed the head shake or wobble feeling isn't as exaggerated as it is when crossing rail road tracks or going slow on a bumpy road.
When I first got my 2010 Triglide I managed to get on a pretty lumpy road, it was shaking its head like crazy because I was forced to run 15 - 20 mph and sometimes slower due to the nasty bumps.
Now I will say if the wobble or head shake is excessive there could be the possibility of the neck bearings being loose or the steering stabilizer could be weak.
