What kind of shape is your battery in some times the draw is to much for a poor battery. just a thought. Welcome to the forum. Try Sea Foam "Deep Creep" on the bolts good stuff good luck Fred

Harley sometimes gets carried away with their loc-tight.... If your battery is good then you will have to pull the motor and check the brushes ....Been there done that on MY 11T/G....3 times.......

Warranty or not

If under warranty no worries. If out of warranty check battery voltage if good then get the motor rebuilt at an electric motor place it is after all a hi TQ starter motor..

Harley indeed puts too much and sometimes not enough 242 on the bolts. Seafoam works well.

Welcome from Missouri!

If you look at the stickies at the beginning of this thread, there is a trouble shooting guide for the reverse motor system on our HD trikes. It starts by checking your trouble codes.

I just got my 15TG back from the Harley Dealer. For over a year I did without. I tried to remove it myself, but the combination of not seeing where the bolts where and not wanting to damage anything led me to bring it to the HD Dealer in Lafayette, IN.

They ordered a rebuild kit and although it took a couple of weeks for the part to come in, the total cost was under $520. The new motor was over $1700 so I think the price difference was fantastic. The rebuild provided a ton of power and they told me to pulse the reverse from now on. I also plan on using my feet to back out if that is possible.

Hope this helps!
