2020 Triglide started ticking on daily start up at 19,000 miles. Every day at the first start of the day it ticks for about 15 seconds. S & S lifters and push rods installed with no fix, still the same.

JUST MY OPINION As motors get used the bearings and surfaces wear in. This is NORMAL. The tolerances are slight greater and when the motor is turn off leak down of the oil from everywhere occurs at a very little easer pace. Leak down of even new lifters is normal. A return of normal oil pressure in 15 secs and all is quite should be of no concern. Things are just getting pumped up. JUSY MY OPINION

S&S had quite a few bad lifters all from the same batch

These are the same type of lifters used in many GM engines at the factory, Luck of the draw I guess, still some pumped up many did not

Johnson Hylift gets good reviews

My 17 with the S&S lifters will do the same thing, but it doesn't always do it. Now I have heard many ticking lifters in my time, but this doesn't have quite the same sound.

Some M8s were not clearanced right during the manufacturing of the rs crankcase, this is enough of a problem to cause not enough oil returning to the oil pan, flooding the case with oil and robbing the lifters of the oil needed to fully pump up

@DKCustoms has a good video explaining all of this
