Our prayers and well wishes go out to Gene, his family, and friends all over. We spoke to Ben today to get information, he is still in critical condition, but responsive. His family has set up a Facebook page to provide updates and progress if anyone would like to like the page to keep updated on his recovery.

I just read the FB updates, as well as the description of his injuries ....it is very serious. I had hoped it was just a few broken bones and some road rash...he may never walk again! Very sad, I have a paraplegic son-and have lived his injuries with him.

Went on Facebook, sent him my best even tho we don't know each other. I just hate to see anybody down from a bike ride. Usually it's not the bike riders fault anyway but they pay the price for someone else's mistakes.

I am reposting this description from the Temple Riders website of which Gene and I are both members.I had the pleasure of meeting him at our annual Christmas party and he is a truely nice guyCynthia and I certainly do hope and pray for the best for him and his family.

Repost original post by Darrell Bawden of Temple Riders Association.

"I was able to talk to Ben, the mechanic at Crossroads Trikes this afternoon and learned a little more about Gene's crash. He had gone to St George to pick up a Honda Goldwing and Bushtech trailer he had purchased. He was bringing them back to Salt Lake to 'Trike' the bike. A sudden gust of wind must of hit him and pushed him off the road. Luckily he had his helmet on but he was still severely injured. He is still unconscious and in Intensive Care. He is at the Utah Valley Medical Center in Provo, Utah.
As I spoke to Ben today, he indicated that prayers would be greatly appreciated. And that Gene needs all the moral support we can give to help him and his family....... Prayer goes a long way in helping us to heal. The Lord is always ready to help us and bless us when we ask.
Thank you for all that you do and for taking care of each other. We need each others help to make it through this life. "

Very well stated Peg. It is sad indeed to hear of any accident. I with most folks on this board who think that prayer is important. It also great to see posts from Motor Trike and Ruth Ann Hannigan. Let's first pray that Gene's life be spared.
