Has anyone tried the shock lifts to help with pipes draging

where did they come from
If its from T glide stuff everyone that has tried them expressed they are very happy with these lifts,
I have them on my TriGlide. Wish I would of got them sooner a must have!
Went down to Muncie,In. to get my lift kit from Dennis. I live in South Bend,In. We were going to Brandt's Harley anyway. They weren't hard to put on & it really makes a difference. Pipes don't drag anymore & I can go into the curves harder. He is now working on a lift kit for the tour pack. If anybody in my area gets the kit, I would be more than happy to install them. All I need now are a set of wheelie bars. Since I put all the hp in the engine, it is easy to bring the front end up. Thanks again Dennis!
I had the lift kit installed on my tri-glide and it didn't help the pipes dragging at all.
In fact they have not dragged once since the kit was installed

Just had lift kit put on while TG in for 20K service. Mechanic took it out for test ride and reports a small positive difference in handling. When loading up on my trailer there was NO PIPE SCRAPING AT ALL. Will be home soon and trying it myself. Thanks Dennis.

look at posts further up for link. Done a couple hundred miles on lifts now. another difference I notice is no more low speed (below 20mph) hands free wobble.
Just completed a 1500 mile trip to Niagara Falls and back. The lift works great. I did hit mufflers (4" V&H) one time on a bump. It was quite a bump. I increased the air in the shocks from 35 lbs to 45 lbs and never hit again. We were riding two up with a lot of luggage. You know how it is traveling with your wife

For those of you who have purchased and installed these lift brackets, do you have any tips / tricks for doing the install yourself? How do you get the back end of the trike up off the ground? I assume you bleed all the air off the shocks before un-bolting them from the frame?
Just go to the TGlide site. It has instructions. tGLIDE Stuff.com No need to bleed off any air and remember to unbolt both sides. If you only try to do one side at a time you will have problems lining up the holes.
Thanks. I've read the install instructions and I'm concerned about the jacking. Are you really supposed to support the whole rear of the trike using the steel subframe under the trunk? Based on pictures I've seen of this area, it appears to me that this subframe doesn't look strong enough to support the back end of a thousand pound bike. Am I wrong?
I put a jack stand on rear rail as close to the muffler as you can get it, then jack up other side and do the same. One can put a 1 x 4 on frame if you feel you need to spread the weight a bit but using two jack stands has caused no issues. I have installed many pairs this way as I have no lift. Instructions are to show that almost anyone with a floor jack, jack-stands and a few hand tools can do the install if they care to.

Ok, thanks Dennis. I have your brackets on hand and am just waiting for the trike to get delivered. I just wanted to make sure I knew what I was doing before I did the install. I didn't want to possibly damage the subframe by supporting it incorrectly.

I can not tell you the exact amount, but yes, front end gets a little load and has what I feel is a more positive feel. Others who have installed the brackets may post to give you their feel on them.

I put the lift kit on last Friday. IF u follow the instructions it is a simple job. I increased my shock pressure from 22 pounds to 30 pounds and gained 2 inches in height after installing the lift kit. I put 300 miles on it over the weekend and there is definitely a weight shift but I think it is very positive. The handling seems better. I am very happy with the results. And it looks great!!!!!

I've been running around with about 36 lbs of air in the shocks. Down from the 50 lbs I ran before the lifts were installed. I bumped them up to 44 lbs and hitched up my new Roll-A-Home trailer. It wieghs just over 300 lbs. I was very impressed at how well the TG handled with the trailer in tow. I'm going to try 40 lbs and see how it runs.
I got tired of crawling around on the floor not to mention the pounding my knees were taking, so my dad was nice enough to pick up the table lift to make life easier.

I was looking at the lifts this morning and the web site said they were on backorder untill January
I had heard they were under new ownership.
