Took granddaughter for a ride, using a thumb drive-listening to tunes and it was skipping. So I stopped and removed it.The radio was doing the same thing.Like a record album skips.

Anyone? Ideas?

Maybe a Short in the Ground Wire  Check all the connections.

Just came from the garage, checked settings on the system.Radio on,bike not running or moving. Not doing it.I'll re-check later while riding.

Took it to the dealer. They went for a ride,a couple of minutes later,I ready to roll.

I was told the connection was not secure. And it would most likely not be covered under warranty.Because someone had to have been in there.

I agree,I told him.But it was not me and that the person who was in there works for Harley and it left the plant that way.

They decided it was warranty work and everything was cool.

The only one in town. The service department does not impress me at all. I met Mary in '82,they were on Riverside then.Still have that shovel.Had 2 broke legs, tied my crutches to the fork legs and road out.:Dorag:

Back into the shop this morning. While BS'ing out side, they come to me,we got it,be about 10 minutes.

OK,what was the issue?

--the CB,the tech heard voices coming through and cutting out the radio.

I don't have a CB.

A minute or so later, they call over the intercom to me.The tech takes me to the service area,he wants to show me the good job he did.

--I removed the CB.

I don't have a CB.

--Yes but the program is in there,so I removed it,put in the new updates. She's ready.

He turns on the radio and it starts cutting out again.

--Damn you need a new radio.

Can you fix the trunk too?

--I'll order that part too,be in in a few days,we'll call you.

Oh well, all in all a good experience, treated good and he assures me the radio issue will not interfere with the gps.

Love the crutches story. Too many people left stuff get them down. You just kept on rollin'.

I still have that shovel, untold miles (speedometer broke in"82).Lot's of parties.2 clubs and 3 wives. 17190928_10158365334165010_2473509308375630307_n.jpg
