Quick an shine for a bike.

Old Schoolers might already know this, but last night I discovered that Murphy's Oil Soap is the "miracle drug" when it comes to cleaning a bike. After I washed and towel dried mine, it looked like I spent hours washing, waxing, and buffing but it took less than an hour. Plus, a leaf blower is a very helpful tool for drying out those tight places that your hands just won't fit.

Never tried Murphy's , but I use Turtle Wax Ice and like the results and yes, the leaf blower is the way to go, but keep it away from the radio.

I can see where Murphy's would be good. I use a wax and cleaner called Mirage. Very easy on and off and has great shine and endurance.

Yeah, I kept the leaf blower away from the radio area all together. I only used it around the motor and wheels.
And I love the Turtle Wax Ice, I used it for years on my pick up. It's a little pricey but a bottle will last a long time.

I tried Murphy's last evening, when I washed my trike. I love the way it cleaned, rinsed, and especially how the trike looked when dry. I'm sold! Thanks for this great tip!

Is that the wood floor soap you are speaking about?

Re: the leaf blower, I just go for about a ten minute ride after washing my trike.

That seems to blow off the water just fine.

I like Turtle Wax ICE also.

Wheels, a couple years ago when I was in Canada for a HOG ralley I saw a can of Fukken Wax - I HAD to buy it just for the name. :laugh: Yes it's expensive but worth it when I see the expression on peoples faces when I ask them if they've ever used this Fukken wax.

I inherited my wifes dog grooming blow dryer - it'll knock over a St. Bernard.

What I use the most is S100 Total Cycle Cleaner. Spray it on (everything)wait a few seconds and hose it off....clean as a whistle.

Another good cleaner is Mr Clean AutoDry Car Wash with the deionized rinse - no need to towel or blow dry.

Latey I'm doing more riding then cleaning. People that really know me can't understand that. I'm always cleaning my vehicles - ever since I was a teenager.

If I had to pick only one - it would be the S100 ThumbUp
