somehow I lost a couple of the screws that hold the outer faring on my 2011 Triglide, does anybody know what size I need to order? the local auto parts has nothing and the Harley dealer is 2 hours away

Yes, on your 2011 the lower fairings can be removed.

Here is a photo of our 2011 Tri Glide with the lower fairings removed, and with the engine guard powder coated black.

On 2014 and newer Tri Glides they cannot be removed because they house the radiators for the Twin Cooling.

Ebay has the quick connect kit for 23 dollars. reviews say it works fine
That, or you can carry soft lowers with you and if you run into cold or wet weather, you can put them on in less than 5 minutes.

This photo we are in the Yukon, on the ALCAN. I put them on because of the muddy "Highway". You can see they caught quite a bit of mud.

The following photo is not of mine, but similar design. They slip over the engine guard and then clip in place. I like these because they take very little space to carry, and I always have them in case they are needed/wanted.

I have them for my E Glide. Cordura material, came from Harley, quick on & off. Not sure if they still make them but they are really nice when it gets cold. HD says not to use when temps are above 50 F. The also have an open spot if you want to put highway pegs on. Or I should say they would fit over them.
