Well my cat got under my cover and put a couple of small nail holes toward the top of the passenger backrest.

I am wondering what the best way to repair it might be. I know there are numerous vinyl repair kits out there and none of them get high marks. I am considering a cover but I am finding a limited source for passenger back rest. I did find a site that does custom work, Blackbird Customs, and they have a nice cover for the entire bike seat and matching passenger back rest for a reasonable price. I am not sure I want to recover because a new backrest is only $166.00.

So my fellow riders, lend me your ideas!

I had mine recovered to to match my 115th anniversary seat for 75.00 at a local place, even did the blue stitching to match the seat

Clint Eastwood as Bronco Billy

Antoinette Lilly : Have you ever been married?

Bronco Billy McCoy : Sure. A long time ago.

Antoinette Lilly : Did you love her?

Bronco Billy McCoy : With all my heart. Sometimes that just isn't enough.

Antoinette Lilly : What happened?

Bronco Billy McCoy : I caught her in bed with my best friend.

Antoinette Lilly : What did you do to him?

Bronco Billy McCoy : I shot her.

Antoinette Lilly : What! What about him?

Bronco Billy McCoy : He was my best friend!

Marine vinyl is the thing to use...that is what Harley uses.

Mary has made many items with it and it looks and holds up the same.

If you cannot find any, shoot us an email. We have a good inventory of it because we make quite a few products using it.

Here are a couple of photo's of things we make using it.

Thanks for the info and offer Kevin. I will keep it in mind for possible future use!

My wife had an '88 Mustang GT convertible that she reupholstered using marine grade vinyl. Made all the difference in the Arizona sun.

I did a quick repair with some Super Glue and a sharpie. One hole had the material tucked under so I was able to fish it out and glue it. The other spot I just dabbed some SG and marked it with the sharpie. Time will tell if it will hold but now it will not get worse for a few rides.
