Parking Brake Help

When I got home from riding today I found that I could not get the parking brake to engage. It would go down but no "click, click, click" and it wouldn't stay down.

The brake itself is working. I had my daughter hold it down while I tried to push it. It held.

Any ideas on fixing this?

Mine broke and was replaced by my Dealer. The piece that holds the spring cracked and fell off.

It is pretty simple to take apart.

I have to say that I am DONE fiddling with the Freewheeler's parking brake! I have had to mess with it way too much to get it and keep it working!

So, I put it in-gear when parking and amended my riding habits to that change.

The adjustment is poor at best IMO
Keep it adjusted and lubed, make sure the pedal returns fully, mine does now

Thanks to all. I am going to take a closer look at it this weekend and if the problem is not obvious I will wait until I need something else done and let the dealer fix it. It is still under warranty.

I have wheel chocks I can use until then.
