Over Sized Tires?

I have been told to run between 20 to 23psi in the rear. This is spose to help with ride quality. What if you were to go up one size with the height of the rear tire?

Well first issue that you would have to attack is the speedo/odometer will be off. Run the air pressure I think that will be enough. Good Luck

Pressure is pressure. Does it really matter the tire size? I’m thinking of going up a tire size to make my speedometer correct as I’m off by like 2-3 mph

At 85 according to the calculations it would be off almost 3 mph. I was wondering more about more cushion due to more side wall. About an 1/2 inch

Little late to the party, but....

I just replaced my rear tires and never really considered any size changes because the OEM brand and size got me to over 52,000 miles. I would guess that any larger rear tires could be an issue when loaded and traveling 2-up, but then again I'm just guessing on that.

As far as it effecting my speedo, I wouldn't care at all. I always go by the digital read out down in the corner, which I assume is GPS based.
