A late welcome Kevin! You are right down the road from my BIL and a few of my nieces. I probably missed it but did you get your ride from Black Diamond? I bought my first Harley used there.

I'm betting you will still have some decent riding weather coming up.

yup, got it from Shad at Black Diamond. The weather is gonna be 47 for a high tomorrow, that’s gonna be good enough for me to get this thing out on the road some. We will probably get a few more similar days like that also. Yesterday and the day before it was really cold, windy and rainy here. Very unusual for this time of year

Well, probably nobody cares by now lol but I took this trike on an extensive ride today and loved it.

the turning wasn’t anything much to get used to, it was different but really easy to me.

what did feel weird is the front end. It took some real getting used to, it felt as though the front tire wasn’t really touching the road much. Pretty squirrelly at first, this is in stark contrast to the heavy Ultra Glide that I’m so used to. It didn’t take long to adapt,,,,, it just felt as though I didn’t have good control at first.

but just like anything,,,,,,, I got used to that also fairly quickly, and I really enjoy this trike and am glad I bought it. Have no regrets and I doubt I’ll ever get back on 2 wheels anytime soon

You bet we care Kevin! We always like to hear “the rest of the story”..

Glad things are working out... now go ride, ride, ride!

p.s...we like to hear ride reports and adventures! Don’t be a stranger!

You may want to check the tire pressures, most here run 22 psi in the rear tires, and 36 psi in the front. You may also want to check how old the tire on the front is, if it is older than 5 years, it may be getting hard and not giving you the best feedback. Lots of different opinions on tires, just do a search and I am sure you will find enough reading materials.

Glad that you are having a good experience, Trikes are a blast.

Welcome to Trike Talk, glad you joined the three wheeled world have fun be safe and always remember someone one here will have a correct answer for any question you may have.Best forum i have ever been part of.

As mentioned, check tire pressure, it's overall condition and date code. Also, inspect the front wheel bearings.

If these all prove to be ok, then you might want to consider adding a DK Convertible Comfort Lift to the rear suspension. This change not only gave me a smoother more comfortable ride on bumpy roads, it provided a bit more ground clearance by raising the sagging rear end, and it also gave me better steering, as the front wheel felt more planted on the road.

Getting more miles on will surely give you more smiles at the end of the day

When I had to give up 2 wheels ( bad back and leg injury) I thought life was over

Nope, it just began a new chapter on 3 wheels

I hope your experiences will all be positive:clapping:

I have read everyone’s comments on this thread, and it’s hard to give thanks for each person who has welcomed me I will do so in this post summary. This is indeed probably the most friendliest forum I’ve ever has the privilege of being a member of.Most other places people would just read and pass by, but it was overwhelming the responses I got here.

The seat, the lift kit, what to look for, what to try, how dynamic!

(pssst, it was 49 degrees here today and I managed to slip in another ride). That will probably be it though, until at least February but at least I know what I have to look forward to when mister spring arrives in 2020

I rode Saturday - it got up to 50* - sunny- couldn't ask for a better day. Today it snowed 4" by me = bummer.

I ride every Sunday all winter for a brunch ride - if the roads are dry (I have to take care of the few 2 wheelers that ride with me :) ).

With heated gear, I can ride all winter = heaven. :)

The T/G Gos good in the snow.....[Under 3 inches].....The Slingshot is useless in the snow the single rear tire will just spin in place...:(...
