I'm a 71 year old motorcyclee fanatic having owned & ridden them since 1970. Back in September I dumped a Triumph on some loose gravel while making a turn. I tore my right shoulder joint and will need surgery to fix it. Anyhow I decided to give up on two wheel motorcycles and get a trike. In October I traded the Triumph for a 2023 Harley Davidson Freewheeler trike. I managed to get several hundred miles of riding on it before winter weather set in. With any luck my shoulder surgery will help with the pain and I'll be back able to ride again by Spring.

Welcome to TrikeTalk Reinie! Although sorry to hear about your accident and injuries, it's good to hear that you are not abandoning motorcycles completely. Hopefully you enjoy this forum and I'm sure you will find some very useful information. Good luck on your surgery.

hey Ron welcome to TT from Dayton,oh. I also had shoulder surgery a few yrs back.. still some pain after 250 miles.. Had Zook install his rake kit & then was able to do 400 aday. Just turned 80 past Nov. where in Oh ru ?

Thanks everyone. I hopefully will get that surgery sheduled soon. I want to be ready by Springtime. The Papa Zook rake kit would probably be the best thing for that shoulder once I get back in the saddle.

Shoulder injuries take about a year to stop hurting. Been there done that. Don’t lift anything heavier than a phone book and keep that joint moving. I’m not a doctor and didn’t stay at Holiday Inn. Just sayin.
