Ok here goes, My first trike build

Good luck with the build, your off to a good start. Hell of a deal on the beginning, wish I could find a table for $500. Those who have won't get off it and if they will they want to much. Keep us posted. I been workin on mine for just over a year and been on the road for 6wks. Not quite finished yet but close. Ride On

So where are you at with your build? Have you had a chance to try out your reverse set up to see what kind of speed you get in reverse? Also what year and make of subaru stater did you use?? I have been searching for a ring gear like you used and can NOT find one in the price range you quoted. Can you help direct me to someone. I tried that bert racing transmissions but the cheapest thing they show is $190

it was a 2000 subaru starter, most speed shops will have the ring gear it self. all you need is the ring gear not the hookup to the trans. If you can't find one pm me and I will get you one from the local speed shop in town and send it to ya.

I live in a rural area of Arizona so there is no such thing as a speed shop to be found. Now that I know what starter to look for I will search to find one.
Thanks for replying. By the way have you gotten a chance to try your reverse out yet??

Ok I have searched and searched and can't find anything. Before I ask you to get me one I would like to verify the diameter is of the gear you used was 6 1/2"?

Contact me on my email so that we can discuss how to make this transaction work.

New Bert Racing Transmission Replacement Flywheel Ring

Speedway Part #736370 (Stock Photo Shown)

It is like the one I have..

right now at a stand still waiting on parts that were back ordered. I am at the stage of getting everything together for once and fer all.

Ok after a couple of months taking care of the honey do list and fixing a rental I have, I started to work on the trike. I had to get re established again so I tried to install the fork brace but its not for this bike. so I either will have to sell the brace or trade it for one that will fit. I got the new to me gas tank setup for cleaning, it has some light surface rust inside it. also changed out the gas cap lock so I could use my original key for the bike. And thats where I left off for now.

Worked on the trike today, setup the new rear door on the body got everything marked out to cut the hole in. Also took some measurements to make a box out of sheet metal for the trunk storage. Now all I have to do is cut it out and bend it up and weld in place.

If you get it up and running , you can come and show it off at the NE TT rally in Aug. we would love to kick the tires and talk about it. Looks like it should be a great looking project to sit a talk about. When you get a chance step back an show us the overall view of it as a compleat bike. ( bike and trike combo ) looks good .

Haven't been able to work on it, have been sick with the flu. And with that also been having problems with my back. I am leaving tomorrow to go to the back specialist for a nerve block to see if that will help lessen the pain that I am in. It will be a little while before I can work on it again. Thanks for the interest will try to get more pics up later.

Got a chance to work on it some today, started to do the body work on all the body pieces that will be on the bike. Also looking into fabricating a box to go on the underside of the rear body as well.

Ok after some time and thought I made a box to attach to the underside of the body so I could have extra storage space or a trunk as you would know it. I am going to try to attach it to the body today. here are some pics of the box.

I didn't read through all the post's and someone may have already said this, or maybe you already know but that rear end will need to be flipped since the yamaha drive shaft is on the left.
