Sold my CVO... darn thing was just too fast for my old blood. Got a 12 TG.
My friends are back to calling me Pops riding Tubby.... hummmm, guess they forgot..... well OK, that's all in fun, them on their hopped up Touring bikes and ego to match, right?
They wanted me to hit the mountain roads this morning but they still needed someone to lead them to a spot that only I seem to remember how to get there.
8 two wheel bikes line up behind me. Old Tubby and I just meander along on the back roads. Beautiful day, temps were perfect for riding.
Well..... we got into about 2 miles of corning around the mountains.
I looked back after about a mile and there wasn't anyone in sight. I don't know what the problem was. I was only doing 50 in 5th. Never had to down shift or take a corner hard. Went into a straight road and there they were about a 1/2 mile behind me. Good... maybe someone had a problem but I counted 8 head lights and let them catch up.
We went into more curves, same thing happened. This repeated itself a few times until I finally just had to stop (nature call). Boy... did I get my head handed to me.
"What's with flying through all the corners!! You headed to a fire or something??" :AGGHH:
Now mind you that I've ridden with these guys for a long time but one of the riders was on a Ninja. SHE, yes, she heard the ranting and jumped in. What are you guys talking about I had to hit the brakes to keep from smashing into you guys several times. I'm going to ride behind the old guy on Tubby. You guys can follow me for a change... all the while turning to me giving the ol' high 5.
I swear I never broke a sweat on the TG. Didn't push any corners hard just drove at the limit or maybe +5.
I remember now why I loved my old trike so much.
Pops... HA. Now who is calling who Pops. :wave4:
Very glad to be back on 3.
