Good morning all! I have been reading the forums for about 3 weeks now, and figured it was time to join, and say hello. My wife and I purchased a GL1500 Roadsmith trike about a month ago, and we both absolutely love it! We are both in our early 30's and seem to be the youngest people in our area on a Goldwing trike. I have never owned a street bike (had ridden them), and couldn't talk my wife into a two wheeled bike. She had seen a trike on the road, and said "that looks fun!" After we test rode one, that was it. I had spent a lot of time on snowmobiles, and 4-wheelers so the transition to the trike seemed very easy. Hope to meet some other trikers from the eastern PA area!

Welcome to Trikedom.... You are for sure among the youngest couple on three wheels but that's OK!! If you and your bride are happy and your knees are in the breeze - ALL IS GOOD!!

That is a mighty clean looking 1500 you have. If your wife is bothered by wind and buffeting, you might consider adding Baker Hand and Trike wings. They do a very nice job and will also help reduce the chips in the paint. :xszpv: :xszpv:

ENJOY THE RIDE !!!

Darlene and I made our first meet & greet in Nov. 1st 2013 and have not missed one sense, we have made some life long friends and all has been grate people. so if you can put up with some of us old folks we can surely enjoy you company any time.

Don't hesitate to ask questions if you need to. Lots of help available here.

It's great to hear from all of you! As I said, we are both absolutly loving it! I work out of town Monday-Friday so our only opportunity to ride is on weekends. In the past three weekends, we have managed to ride just over 800 miles in between all the rain. I also started down the path of accessories already. :xzqxz: I added the side faring lights, the trunk side lights. (Which was a real pain due to the trike kit) and the rear speaker add-on for the Mrs. I guess that's half the fun. This site, and Goldwingdocs are amazingly Helpful. Hopefully one day we will meet some of you in person!

Hi Darrell, and welcome to the forums from Florida, very nice looking scoot.

Welcome from NH....

First thing I learned when I got my first bike.....The bike ( or trike) is only a down payment for the accessories:pepper:ThumbUp

You have a very clean looking ride...enjoy it whenever you can.:clapping::clapping::clapping:

A big welcome from SW Louisiana!
Nice looking ride ya got there.
This is a great forum with lots of great folks and plenty of info. Enjoy!!!

Welcome ..... Nice looking Trike!

Being as you are transitioning from 4 wheelers and snowmobiles, you should feel at home on that trike! I was only about late 30s, maybe 40 when I saw my first Gold Wing trike, was a 1100 or 1200 .... then when the 1500s came out and I saw one triked .... I liked it.

Do be careful with it though as it is .....
..... the fastest color!

;)
