Hi All,

Last bike I owned was a 1992 Honda CBR 600F2. I was 22 years old and in the military :)

I'm now 55 and living out in the country in East Tennessee. I had been looking at RoadKings, Heritage Classics etc. and I currently have no physical conditions that would prevent me from riding on a bike-- but the wife wants to ride 2up and that changes things :)

I'm getting ready to purchase a 2024 Free Wheeler and am excited about diving into this group and learning!

Welcome to the forum. Ride safe and have fun.

Welcome from the flatlands of Illinois!

My wife and I were on several different big touring bikes over the years. I’m 59 now and while physically I could manage the bike with her on it, it wasn’t much fun in parking lots and stop & go traffic in town.

Several of our older friends were moving over to trikes and they were all having fun everywhere we would ride. I used to say I would never own a trike, but after seeing the fun they were having, I reconsidered and is when I found this forum. Finally, a couple years ago, we converted our 2020 Ultra with a Roadsmith kit.

My only regret is we should have done this years ago! It’s like playing around on our quads on the farm, only it’s out on the road. We are always looking for an excuse to jump on it and run to town for something and when we ride with friends, we have a blast.

We had thought about a FW before we converted our Ultra, but the wife likes all the storage and loves shopping at stops. Heck, we even get a weeks worth of groceries stuffed in it a few times!

Anyway, good luck with your purchase and don’t be afraid to ask questions!

Went to the dealer today to finalize some things…
