This is a heads up for anyone thinking about installing LED tail light bulbs on a 2022 era TriGlide. Research indicates this bike has a CAN bus feedback system for the electronics. Most places I researched didn't know if load resistors would be needed. Not wanting to hack up the wiring I pressed on.
I purchased a set of Sylvania Zevo 3157R bulbs for installation in place of the factory 3157 incandescent bulbs. Replacement was uneventful, removing the covers with 2 phillips screws replacing the bulbs and reinstalling the covers. The ignition was turned on and the flashers were turned on so the bike would learn the new draw of the lamps. Honestly I don't think they ever fast flashed. There were ECM and BCM codes stored, 1 in each category. These were cleared by turning the ignition on as the odometer info button was pressed. Scrolling through each category as the code was displayed then cleared. The lights are similar in intensity in the run function but significantly brighter in brake and turn mode. The results for a $25 investment was successful and to my mind, worthwhile. No hyper-flash was present and no additional load resistors were needed. Hope this helps anyone thinking of going down this route for a budget friendly safety upgrade.
