I installed the DK tour pac extender. I've read that the filler pad was out of stock. I did my searches and found a reseller that "stated" that they had them in stock. After placing the order I recieved the email that they were currently on backorder. My question is------------- Who also has the filler on backorder and how long have you been waiting (currently). I am quessing that anyone who offers them on their website is acting as a "reseller" for KURYAKYN and once they have them everyone will have them. I ask the question on how long some have been waiting because I may cancel the order and go the route of having one made.

I ran into this a year ago and had to wait quite awhile until they were back in stock. Kuryakyn had an option to inform you when they were in stock but I never heard anything from them, I only found it by browsing. I know others have had the stock pad reworked to fit. Maybe an option? And maybe cheaper.

I took the original pad to a auto upholstery shop and ask to make me one just like this except 3 inches longer. Guy says I'm going to lunch now come back around in a couple hours and it will be ready. Cost me $30.00. he used the original stiffener from the top in the new one.
