Today’s thread (and Review) is going to cover:
Adding DK customs “Convertible Comfort Mount” brackets with 14” shocks.

- Apologies for repeating myself a few times as some parts were recorded a couple months apart from each other & kinda forgot what was said at the time, so some editing was done on the video below
The “Convertible Comfort Mount” brackets are not to be confused with their “lift” brackets as 14” is the maximum length shock that will fit on our trikes - without clearance issues.
(The “lift” brackets only work with the 13” shocks).
Previously, I really questioned the effectiveness of these particular “Convertible Comfort Mount” brackets because all these brackets are doing is relocating the bottom of the shock back further 3/4 of an inch. I totally stand corrected!!!
In short: The answer is: YES!!… You can tell the difference! It actually does rides smoother!
Now, some stated that they “hardly noticed a difference”…. In all fairness, I have a @Papa Zook 9 degree Rake kit on the front, so maybe the combination of BOTH is what helped this noticeable difference to me??? But I will say, my “before and after” is definitely noticeable, and for the better!
The same road that I travel every day for work has quite a few bone jarring bumps… just by adding these brackets totally took the “Bite” & “harshness” out of those bumps and simply made it smoother! (Some smaller bumps, were barely noticeable).
Yes, you can still feel these bumps, but it really changed the harshness out of them.
The angled back (“Cantilever” affect) of the shocks that these brackets now give, really do feel help.
If anyone is “on the fence” to add these “Convertible Comfort Mount” brackets to their 14” shocks, you will notice a difference and these will help squeeze a little more to a better ride!
(And of course the guys who are running 13” shocks, I would recommend going with their “lift” brackets to get the maximum benefit also).
