jeff and elise in the USA

i cant remember what this place was called but it was a cool shop and petrol station. added to the growing excess of luggage we were hauling

after leaving willianms we triked on and off the freeway looking for more of route 66 that was less known, or rather not signposted..found this gem

you can have your stuff shipped back to home. don,t know how many suitcases you can take on the flt. back. come up north. its a-lot cooler. better rideing.

yeah the trailer will be sent home full. i struggled home with 2 suitcases and elise will arrive home tuesday with as yet unknown treasures lol

got the trike its 5000 service here so we went to one of the worlds best DIVE BARS.
the double down is a cool place ( if you like dive bars.)

still looking for a slimline air cleaner for my chopper, we found this old school shop, awesome people and this bike being built for kid rock.. no air cleaner though

two things...
! we got a new camera in vegas so pics are better
2 we decided to buy a hydration vest each from HD and see if they are any good.
leaving vegas we headed to pahrump and into death valley. by the time we hit pahrump it was getting mighty hot

full of fuel at pahrump, loaded with drinks.. we set of into the Heat...
the hottest place on earth in the middle of summer was a daunting task, but we chose it

the sheer vastness of the place is spectacular in itself. the heat beat down on us in our Jackets. but the hydration vests worked a charm.we both agree the $60 was the best $60 we ever spent.

love the story of this place. out in the desert an opera singer finds a disused building and makes it her lifes work to paint it and perform in it regardless of wether anyone showed up or not..she hand painted the walls and cieling as it is today, which took her many years. she is still alive but getting very old. God bless her...
