One of my employees has a 92 1500. He says if the bike gets rained on it will not start. Meaning it will try to turn over but stops. Has to put it is gear and rock it back and forth or wait for it to dry out? Does rain water or washing drain into one of the cylinders??? I can see where pushing would get rid of any water but how does waiting for it to dry get rid of it. To me sounds more like wet ingnition. Any help?? I have found other pdeple with same problem but no definitive answers. I know I've come to the right place.

I'm gonna assume (yeah, I know) that you're talking the flat-6 Goldwing / Valkyrie engines.

At the bottom of the spark plug holes, are little drain holes to let water drain out of the hole. Water can get into the plug holes if the plug wire boots have shrunk with age. Have your buddy pull a plug wire & look at the plugs. If they are rusty looking at the bottom, water has been collecting there and shorting them out.

Simple fix, clean the drain hole. I use a piece of wire, run up the hole from the bottom of the head. Gotta lay on the ground to see the holes, not much bigger around than a coat hanger wire. Those damn little dirt dobbers love to put their nests in there...
