How OLD are you...... really!

Turned a young 65 years fourteen days ago. Black TG to be delivered Saturday. Got back on 2 wheels in 2002 after a 20 year break for all those family reasons some of us have had to do. Traded for a Ultra Classic in 04 and after a health issue and surgery last fall, the wife finally decided that a "tricycle" wouldn't be so bad. She's even decided to get her license so she can ride it ocassionally. I can be a bit lazy sometimes, so the back seat didn't feel all that bad in the shop.

It should have been a holiday Feb 1st,as I celebrated my 72nd birthday & my little bride
and I are still going strong,however we are trying to cut our mileage on trips to around
300 to 400 a day.(We have been married 55 years come June 27th)Been riding & camping all of these years,

I turned 55 this past November, wife is... uh... about the same. Got a motorcycle license in 1972 for a Honda 100. Since then, there were only 2 years without a bike. Last May, bought a California Sidecar Daytona conversion on an 08 Ultra Classic. Still have the 06 Ultra, but I think it may find a new home this spring. Lovin the trike.
Too many joint injuries and surgeries to mention.
Let's just say 3 wheels don't wobble and they don't fall down.

I am 62,wife is 52.riding 2 wheels since 1964.toy hauler rolled over last fall with 2006
ultra inside.lost it all but we were not hurt.wife and I love riding and camping so we
purchase a new harley trike (merlot and black) and a legacy trailer painted to match
the trike.Spring cannot come soon enough in New England.Americade bound this year.

I am 64 wife is 62, been riding 50 plus year, the lady has been behind me 33 years now. The 2002 Ultra we had, until 2009 had 85,000 miles on it. The wife got to where she fell getting on and off of 2 wheels, she has been sick 10 years now. So I got the 2009 Road Glide/ Lehman, so I could help her on and off. The lady will ride even if I have to pick her up and put her on. We take 2 or more major rides a year, for a month at a time, and lots of 2 to 4 day rides. I can still ride 2 wheel but have got to where I truely enjoy the trike. Came into this world wearing a diaper, and a little red tricycle, going out of the world the same way.

I am 66 and wife is 61, with out medical problems yet....I brought a 2010 Ultra Classic about 18 months ago, with the ideal to trike it. The bike was due to for its 10k service an probably two tires in 4k to 6k, checked on trike conversion kits online, went to my dealer, thru the new 2010 was a better deal, therefore I brought it. In only three weeks, weathe permitting, wife has rode with me three times already, and always ready to ride. Love it....:wave4:

New member, and after reading these posts I don't feel that old anymore. I'm 62 this year my wife is 60. Got a few medical conditions as to why I couldn't ride two wheels anymore. Had trikes for 10 years. Longest one day ride was from Valencia to Santander 502 miles the last 100 miles in snow and freezing rain. Was contemplating giving up the trike later this year, but I now feel young again.

52 here and the wife is 50, I loved the two wheels but the wife never felt real safe. So the purchase of trike was in order and I must say she loves it and I really like it too. Heard all the horror stories about corners , turning and numerous other issues and I must say wish I would have done it some time ago! Shes happy and so am I... Love the new Harley Trike !

Both 63, started on trike in early 2011 afer 50 years on two wheels. Trike was 19th harley, after three other Japan style rides. Just wanted to try one, momma loves it ,as do I. Will trike from here on.

I'm 62. I've only been riding since 2003. Bought a Goldwing in 2003, triked it in 2007' traded it for an 2010 Ultra Classic Limited, traded that for the trike 5 weeks ago. My spouse feels more comfortable on a trike.

Almost 71, started riding about 9 years ago on 2. Went to a Goldwing Trike about 4 years ago and now it is on the HD showroom waiting for an ungrade to a 12 TG. We can't wait.

57.6 and on the cusp of trikedom-still shopping and deciding what I want to start with. Currently have a few two wheelers, but know my days are numbered on two's. The usual problems -knees and back problems, and a bum ankle. Sh!t-I'm fallen apart come to think of it!!! OH well, I can still pitch a puptent in a light breeze.

Both of us are 60 this year. Traded the last Ultra (05) in on the 11 TG because I was TOLD to. First time she had requested a certain bike and model. Took only the ride home to convince me it was the right choice. Still have an 01 FXSTS as a hot rod available.
We both appreciate the comfort and convenience of TG for the road trips.

Seventy-eight this April! Been riding 2-wheelers since the mid fifties, transferred to 3-wheels lat year - 'cos I was afeared that I couldn't hold up a big 2-wheeled bike anymore!

62 and on 2 wheels about 25 years. Trike is much easier on my bad back and a few knee surgeries wont allow holding weight of big 2 wheeler. Wife wont ride 2 wheels. Probably saved us serious injury being on trike in the rear end collision last week. Ever want to use a paint ball gun on cell phone drivers? Just to put the mark of an idiot on them. I am 59 Jeannie is 63 she rode two wheels from 93 to 08 had to go to 3 when she had health issues. She would not ever go back to 2 even if she could she loves her trike. I have not completely gone over to the trike side. I have one and really like it but still kept my street glide 2 wheeler. I have ridden on 2 wheels since I was 12 years old and probably will always keep one around. I have to say though the more I ride my trike the more I like it.

I'm 69 and still kicking ... still riding too. Went to a trike kit last year because I lost 135lb from 285 due to cancer 2 years ago (all gone now) and balance became a concern (more to her than to me) but after one season of riding I LOVE the trike and my wife liked it so much I ended up building her one too. Just turned 68 Friday. Traded in a 2010 Limited on the 2012 TG in Oct.

Just to pi$$ off the wife. She hasn't talked to me since. No more "Take out the garbage, fix the window, wash the car, clean out the gutters, paint the kitchen, etc etc." I think I've died and gone to heaven.

Tried searching for "old" and "age" and nothing came up. From reading lots of posts on the board, and 'knowing' some of you from the "other" trike boards I know that most of us aren't spring chickens anymore. Lots of us have migrated from 2 wheels to 3 cause we ain't gettin any younger, BUT are much too young for a rocking chair.

Sooooo, I'll start. I'm 66 ( 11-11-1945) Added the 3rd wheel this year after 50+ years enjoying 2. Wife is 59. Became a triker in 09 after 15 years on 2 wheels.

47. Started riding trials bikes when I was 8 and rode until I was about 16.
We had a 2 wheeler from 2005 until 2009 at which point we got the trike. K was thinking ahead...always did. He was funny; we installed new toilets and he wanted the high ones so we wouldn't have problems when we got older. Maybe for him, but I'm 5'1 and 3/4 (take all I can get) and my feet dangle.

Almost 56, wife almost 51. I am an athlete, a cyclist, runner and weight lifter. My wife was scared of 2 wheels so a third wheel was a natural progression. We will be on 3 for the rest of our lives! 3-4-ME!

I like the 3-4-ME. K and I were "U&ME+3".

I am 69. Traded the 2010 Ultra Limited a year ago. My knees are not what they were. In the 1960's I raced bikes, I guess now is the time to pay for those injuries. But it sure was a lot of fun. My wife also loves the trike a lot more.

Turn 62 May 14. Can now draw SS. Wife is 54. Traded my 04 Ultra for my 2011 Tri-Glide. We love it. The 2 wheel was more comfortable, but this is alot more stable. Don't have to worry about dumping it in sand, gravel.You can just about pull over anywhere without dumping it. Mentaly it's more satisfying. I got so leary about dumping the Ultra, it just wasn't as much fun anymore.
