Honda VTX1300 Champion Trike

I am looking into a trike for sale a Honda VTX1300 with a Champion conversion. The engine has about 33K miles the conversion is low miles. It has had the rake changed to the front end to get rid of the wobble. Would this make a nice trike for my wife and I? We don't do anything long distance. Not sure what to think of the miles 33k on the bike if it would be ok.

When I was looking at one of those bikes I asked the dealer how long those engines last he didn't know because he had never had to overhaul one !

I have an 04 VTX with 89000 on the clock. I will convert it when things get back to normal. I have no concerns at all about how long it will live. It is after all, a Honda.

I'd actually prefer the 1800 myself but the 1300 will go all day long just fine. I totally mine or that's what I'd be riding now. There is a near cult following with VTX's. And of course the ribbing that a 1300 is a girls bike compared to the 1800. It's all in fun. I'd put Progressive springs in the forks if I was converting one. To me it's a great bike but it would depend on how much they are asking for it. I missed picking one up last year that was triked by one stinking day. Go for it!

Go for it. I ride with a group of Harleys every Sunday. 1300 will keep up all day long.

My wife just stepped up from a 750 Honda to 1300 vtx. she stays up with the rest of us running 75 mph all day long. she gets about 33 mpg.

33 thousand miles on a VTX engine is considered low mileage, if you go to the VTX forum you will see many owners with over a hundred thousand miles on their bikes and going strong. I own a 2007 VTX 1300 which I use to commute with and love it and have no intentions of selling anytime soon, the trike is for me and my wife since she never felt comfortable on two wheels. I wished Honda still made the VTX, I consider it one of their better bikes.
