When I got my 2005 Champion, it had heel toe and Kury floorboards. I liked the look so gave it a try for a couple weeks and couldn't get used to it. Missed shifts and always looking down to find my feet and the shifter. Took shifter and floorboards off and used the stock shifter and a Showchrome peg extension that lowered the foot pegs and extended them forward for a more cruiser-like stance. I like this set-up a lot.
It's been a few months since I ditched my setup. There may be a problem with getting your toe under the shifter with the floorboard, if I remember correctly. The shifter is not adjustable, although these guys make a gizmo that allows you to adjust the shifter..if you really want to keep the boards, then maybe this might help: http://www.dhsracing.com/GL-1800.htmI also have a 2005 champion Kit on a 1800 Goldwing frame love the trike but that darn heel toe shifter bugs me,I wont to keep the floorboards on if all possible.

Cool--let us know what you think. Looks like a small winter project to me.
Talk to me about the extension as I also wear a size 12. Always interested in something to make life easier. Thanks.I'd never used an H/T shifter until I got my trike four months ago. It took a little getting used to and I did add the extension to gain a little more room for my size 12's. 11,000 miles later, I'm pretty much a fan!:10:
Stu Oatman, tech advisor for Wing World mag has recommend you don't use a heal/toe shifter due to evidence he has seen to damage to shifter forks because of too much heal pressure.
Makes sense to me. I think some may be inclined to stomp down with a heel. With the toe, it's a more light touch going both ways. I know when I had my heel/toe shifter, I thought I was going too hard in trying to find the heel shift.Stu Oatman, tech advisor for Wing World mag has recommend you don't use a heal/toe shifter due to evidence he has seen to damage to shifter forks because of too much heal pressure.
