Prior to leaving VN, two close friends and I agreed to all purchase Harleys and spend a summer riding around the U.S. It never worked out. One buddy had a head-on motorcycle accident and was disabled, and my dumbass got married and couldn't afford a Harley. I never gave up on that dream though.
So when my wife (3rd wife) and I retired back in 2012 (my second retirement), we rode our Ultra Classic out west for the first time. We took a month and explored a ton or back roads. Most of the dealerships we stopped at we bought a tee shirt. Several years later my wife took all those tees out of my drawer, cut them up, and hand quilted a quilt so we could always remember our first long distance motorcycle trip.
I still wear a Harley tee almost every day. I agree they are way overpriced. There were a lot of tee shirts cut up to use in that quilt, but I wouldn't take $10,000 for it.
