Freewheeler 2017 or 2018?

First post. I'm a 60 year-old guy. Not too healthy. Had an FLHS 22 years ago and loved it but sold it after about 5 years. Shocked to find that my wife thinks it would be a good idea to get a trike! Went to ADFarrow in Columbus and we both love the Freewheeler. Wonder about new 2017 vs new 2018? Anyone know what may have changed? Is it worth paying more for a 2018? They're not interested in discounting either bike even though they have several. Thoughts for an old newbie? Thanks a million! Marco

Welcome from Missouri!

If there the same price, get the 2018.

I was curious if there were any changes to the 2018 Freewheeler too.

I'm not aware of any.

If the dealer you visit is not willing to discount a trike that's essentially a year old, I would shop around.

Welcome To Trike-Talk, Marco...:wave4:

If they wont discount the 17, Then get the 18...

Or like mentioned shop around for another dealer...

Welcome to the group.

I would be very surprised if they discounted the bike, as in selling it at lower than MSRP. However, most dealers would include some sort of incentives such as accessories, free 1K service, or something else to provide incentive for buying a 2017 bike.

Call around .... Dealers here in S.E. PA will discount! As far as I know there are no differences ..... but 2017s were in the learning curve of new engineering M8s and they had some issues .... so I would say get the 2018!

Feel free to call my Dealer Classic Harley Davidson in Reading PA and ask about pricing. If you are saving enough $$$ it may be worth the drive. Warranty can be gotten at any Dealer .... so please shop around. I have friends who got a $2k better deal at Classic than others in our area!!!!!!
