Fits Like a Glove (I think)

Due to an unplanned dismount on a BICYCLE, I'm in the process of getting used to a complete hip replacement. Visited the dealer today to see what difficulty I might experience when mounting and dismounting a Freewheeler. It went surprisingly well. Plan to return soon for a test ride, weather permitting. Only time will tell.

Easy peezy. I had my hip replaced in 2001 and revised in 2008. Without having it done I wouldn't be riding today. I dislocated my hip in eighth grade playing football and by the time I had it replaced my ball and socket had fused together in one big mass of arthritic slag. And I'm only 49 years young! :D Hope yours works out as well as mine has!

Thanks for the encouraging words. Good to hear from someone who has been there.

My HMO Doctor has already written the referral to the Ortho Surgeon for possible hips and ankle replacement. I'm still hobbling now. My neighbor and ridding buddy Harry rode a Sporster because he couldn't spread his legs wide enough to straddle anything wider. 6 weeks after his hips were replaced he bought a Dyna. He too keeps telling me, "Why did I wait so long"

As one of the first Freewheelers on the board, and one of many 'lame and lazy' members, you can't go wrong with a 'Free. I had a Tri-Glide, nice scoot, but the Free is SOOOOooooo much more fun to ride. Easier to get on and off of also.

Go for it. I have a bad back and the FLRT is easy for me to get on and off. Now if it will just quit raining I may get to put some miles on my new one.
