Wife is doing the grandkid babysitting thing for a week, so I went to visit her today. About a 3 hour ride one way. Started at 49 degrees on the way up and ended at 75 degrees on the way home. Leather and long-handles worked great. I had asked earlier about recommendations on seat pads. It seems the Airhawk R is popular here and after reading extensively on the subject I will be ordering one when I gather enough pennies to pay for it. Just to prove their claim about tailbone relief, I found a cheap foam pad at Wally World that had the tailbone cutout. Where before I was getting a sore one after about an hour, I had no tailbone pain after the three hours. Let's not talk about the other pains I felt though.
I found that one other item I need to get is a backrest. I'm not used to having no back support for that long.
Overall, it was a great trip. I'm asking myself now why I waited so long to get back into riding, and am glad the other half pushed me to get a trike on top of that.
