electric trunk latch

does all stallions come with the electric trunk latch ? my 2010 did, but it was not wired....it is now.....

Yes the electric lock is installed on my 2010 model....i don't know about the earlier models.....you will need to get a female plug for the electrical connection, i got mine from a junk yard off a 2007 ford Fuson i, just make sure that you cut enough wire to work with....you will see 3 wires on the plug, but you only need 2 of them...the black is the ground and the green wire is the hot and you can install a momentary push button switch beside the interior switch in front....i do not use the interior switch hardly ever, so i just connected the lock to the trunk light, and i just use the interior light switch to unlock the trunk....
Hey it works...no more getting out and unlock the trunk, no more locking the keys in the trunk......hope this helps ......

I have an early 09' model and do not have a solenoid assy in the trunk. the only wiring is for the trunk light and the license plate light, no more.
I could install a solenoid and wire it but I doubt that I will.

I have seen someone with their trunk switch located in plain view and wired hot. I would not recommend having this feature so that anyone that may be looking the Trike over could pop open your trunk. As I travel a lot with my Stllion, I would hate to come out from some spot I was visiting and find my trunk open and valuables gone !!!
