Define biker?

WOW! The driver of the pickup truck is lucky there wasn't a gun pulled on him too... Don't think brandishing a weapon was called for in that instance at all.

Yeah...pulling that pistol was uncalled for.

It gives the rest of us CCW permittees a bad rap.

IMHO, it shouldn't have come out unless he was physically threatened.

Never pull it unless you're gonna use it. Just brandishing like that could get ya shot or jailed.

Exactly. And just by looking at the biker, he had big thick gloves on. There's no way he could have effectively pulled a weapon even if he had one on him. Besides, those type bikes really don't look like what I would think of as 'gang' activity. Looked more like a bunch of guys going somewhere to go trail riding.

Again, what an idiot.

Here in Monroe Co. Florida he would have been arrested. You can not make threats with a gun or even display it unless you are under physical threat. The guy on the bike was actually quite low keyed when he pulled up to the truck and lightly taped on the window to talk to the driver. At the very least the driver would of spent the night in jail until he made bail. Notice the driver has his finger on the trigger a real no no until you really need to shoot. That gun could of easily discharged the way he was waiving it around.

It drives home the fact that there are so many people out there with a gun just looking for an excuse to use it and we as someone on a bike against a car better keep our outrage to ourselves?

It would seem to me that the driver acted the way he did just because he knew he had a gun making him ten feet tall and a real Clint Eastwood?

His passengers behaved in a way i suspect they knew the driver was armed.

I'm really surprised the driver didn't pull the trigger? :AGGHH:

Im not knocking your right to carry but it shows me some people who are armed should never have a gun.

In Wyoming you not only need consider everyone armed but should consider everyone hopped up on meth until you see otherwise.

In Wyoming you don't need a permit to conceal carry, we always have to consider a person armed in every instance and people are so damn mad about everything these days sometimes I wonder if folks still have the ability to reason through a situation?

Sometimes I have to just curb my own anger and let it go, Out here I would never have knocked on that pickups window.

I lost a set of keys one time in a convenience store parking lot and after asking the store personnel if they had been turned in I went outside to look around next thing I knew I had some extremely agitated prick waving a gun at me.

Was he threatened, NO, he was just looking for a reason to pull his gun, had I been packing was I within my rights to shoot him? I WAS threatened.

In years past I would have torn the guy a new backside, but in years past he probably wouldn't have acted that way to begin with if he had any sense and didn't think he was Wyatt Earp.

Last year my bike got ran into TWICE through the carelessness of other drivers with me on it. The first one I got backed into a stop sign. she got the citation, I was unhurt, The bike was fixable.

The second time was two weeks later on my way to my buddies shop so I could fix my trike and I got hit hard ( from behind ) at a stop light, that for damn sure rang my chimes and the old broad came out of her car with her hand in her purse YELLING at Me?

What did she have her hand on in that purse? Why did she jump out of her car with her purse anyway?

Was she going to shoot me because she smashed me from behind?

She had the mouth on her to suggest she wanted to? :AGGHH:

Believe it or not she fought the citation in court and got off? What's up with that ****?

I guess I didn't matter because my insurance had given me enough money to fix my trike. but it adds insult to injury ya know?

Sometimes I have been tempted to find her, take her purse gun and backhand her with a real wake up bitch slap?

It's good thing old age has mellowed me I suppose, because I don't really have all that much to loose at this point.

She got off because the officer that wrote the ticket did not see the crash. And if there are no independent witnesses he becomes a he says she says even thought the physical evidence says she hit you. The judges just dismiss the charge without the witness. Not cool but is the way the lawyers have made it happen.

Your right and her insurance wouldn't accept the witness statement because he knows me. He was with me and she had to pass him on the right side to even get to me.

I guess a go pro for my friend might have made a difference but it wouldn't have helped me much cause I got blind sided..

My witness had to be in Nevada at hearing time and the judge wouldn't accept his written statement because he wasn't there to testify.

What a country Ehh?

I guess the judge never heard of a sworn written affidavit.

Some judges do not except affidavits... Similar to when you get a ticket, And the officer doesn't appear in court, Most judges will dismiss the case... Even though the ticket the officer signed is considered an affidavit...

It would be much worse if individuals of power decided to become thought police. I for one, never want to live under, as a civilian, military rule where all are punished for a few deeds from unsavory individuals. I'd rather live with the risks that come with liberty and freedom. Plenty of examples that take lives that need attention to discover cures without spending tons of resources on removing natural rights from individuals, such as the inherent right to protect ones self from stupid which there is no cure even with strict control. I deplore the idea of trying to control stupid at the cost of my natural right of self protection. Our world isn't a Garden of Eden and no matter how many rights are taken away, it will never be one, but only cause it to be worsen because of a different breed of stupidity.

The real reason the judge dismisses the ticket is, the officer is the representative of the state in the proceedings. The State Attorney Office is not there, at least not in Florida. So if the representative for the state does not show the citation is dismissed. The representative has to be there in case the defendant wants a trial on the citation. In traffic court here the defendant can have a written affidavit and not be there but not the state. This happens a lot on out of the county drivers who receive a ticket but do not want to take the time to appear or get a lawyer. They actually sometimes win and get a dismissal, but not often.

I guess you folks are braver than I am. In all fairness if I was going down the road and was surrounded by a bunch of bikes and one of them started pounding on my door I think I would have pulled a gun also. I've seen cases where some of these guys ride in "packs" and think they can do anything. Especially if these bikes were riding crazy like was stated.

I watched a film about such guys the other night and they kept getting in the way of the cop trying to pull one of them over, Trying to surround the cop and allow the perp to get away. It blew up in their face when he pulled a wheelie and ran into the bike beside him. Instant Karma a**hole! :AGGHH:
