We just had a nasty wreck Wednesday here in town! Car pulled out, not seeing the bike, caught the bike on the left side and severed the riders right leg off above the knee. :Shrug:

The rider is in an induced coma as well I guess. They had 4 blocks shut down for about 5 hours on one of the main roads through Cheyenne. It was a very very nasty scene. :AGGHH:

I am not sure if I know the rider or not as they haven't released the name yet.


Okay, now I just looked it up; they have released the name and I don't think I know him.

As usual for this frigging area, things are completely different from what it was yesterday.

CHEYENNE (WTE) - The motorcyclist who lost his leg in an accident Wednesday afternoon has been identified by the Cheyenne Police Department as 56-year-old Tim Donley.

In a release, the department states that Donley was driving eastbound on East Lincolnway when his bike collided with a red Ford Focus driven northbound on Campbell Avenue by Patricia Haffeman. She is listed in the release as being 86 years old.

Donley's right leg was severed in the crash. He was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for treatment.

East Lincolnway was closed until 5 p.m. for the investigation, which is ongoing. The release says all drivers will be tested for the influence of alcohol and drugs, which is common for this type of accident.

No charges have been filed against either driver.
