Got the head pipe off and window cut in the cat. Now, what is the best way to get the core out? Drill it, chisel and dig it out or is there and easier way? Looks like it will be a bear to get it out. Will have a local welding shop weld the window back in. Left the O2 sensors in the head pipe. Should I remove them before welding or just protect them? Don't want to remove them if not necessary. Thanks,

I think you may have to try all of the things you mentioned , I think I drilled and chiseled and ground it out , think I would remove sensors just to be safe.

I used a 1" carbide ball grinder, pliers, screwdriver and hammer. YES it is a pain to get it all out.
This is maybe half the pile.
